What's In Your Travel Bag?

What's in Your Travel Bag?.jpg

As I was headed to Los Angeles last week for a whirlwind of hotel and venue sites in less than 36 hours, I thought to myself, what do I really need? I don’t know about you but when I travel, I want to take less and less these days. Gone are the days when I would check a suitcase, lug a jam packed “carry on bag” and finally carry a heavy purse full of I don’t know what….. Plus, it's like paying for the cost of an additional flight to just get your bags on the plane, right!?! Although it’s taken me several years to figure this out, I’ve become very strategic on what and how much I pack. Nowadays, it’s a practical (yet still trendy & stylish) satchel and a simple carry on suitcase. Ladies, who needs seven pairs of shoes for two days anyway? If it doesn’t fit, it’s not goin…..

Here are a few of my favorite things that never miss the “cut” or that I have my eye on for my next trip;

~    HOBO Travel Satchel; I love this bag. The color is on point and matches just about any outfit. It’s light, has a section for my cell phone, little pockets for business cards (I’m always rummaging through the bottomless pit of my bag to find my never to be found card case), is large enough to carry my iPad or laptop and can be thrown over the shoulder or carried on the arm. It’s definitely making the Christmas list this year….

~    Bath & Body Works Lip Gloss; I’m not a big lip liner, lipstick kind of gal. As long as I have my gloss, I’m good to go. A little shine & all is fine.... :)

~    Battery Pack; I never leave home without it. How many times have you been out all day conducting site visits, answering emails on your device inbetween meetings and I kid you not by noon, the “LOW Battery” alert comes on….? The extra battery pack is a must on every trip but I’m not going to lie, it';s just one more thing to carry. So, I’ve got my eye on this cell phone case by mophie that acts as a battery charger too….. A-A-Amazing, right?

~    Peppermint Essential Oil roller; roll a little of this on your wrists or on the back of your neck and your energized and “happy” to keep up for the rest your busy afternoon.

~    Day Planner / Notebook; I’m a pen and paper kind of gal. I like to write things down and cross them off the list when they’re done so my day planner and favorite pen never get left behind. I'm looking at adding this Deluxe Monthly Planner by Erin Condren to my Santa Christmas list too!!

~    Laptop & My Favorite Book; the plane always makes for a great place to catch up on work or unplug and focus on a little PD time with your book of choice (personal development)....
