Back from Furlough, may this be a sign that recovery is ahead ...

Every month we dedicate a blog post to people and places that inspire and enrich us. This month we are featuring Brigitte Lundrigan and some of her favorite things!

Brigitte Lundrigan is our beloved Loews Global Sales Manager (and our favorite Canadian) and we excited and encouraged that she has been brought back from furlough. This is a sign that our industry may be heading in the right direction!  Hotel companies are recognizing that recovery is in our near  future and a strong sales team is more important than ever.  Welcome back, Brigitte!   May you be the first of many hospitality industry professionals returning to the hotel workforce!

 REQUIRED READING

While none of these will solve world peace,  I love  Vanity Fair (and I have to start  with ‘The Vanities’ on the back page first);  Autobiographies: I just finished Gordon Downie’s  book, The Never Ending Present   (the Canadians reading this will know him), along with the Obituaries every morning (people’s lives fascinate me!)

 FEED FAVORITE

I’m obsessed with WhatsGabycooking on IG and her website; plus her new book,Eat What you Want  just came out. She keeps it real and I love real.

 TUNED IN

I walked my way through my furlough listening to Dax Shepards podcast,  Armchair Expert. It’s free (especially handy when you’re furloughed!) and he is very centered, kind and brings on fun guests.

 JUST TRY IT

This is my drink of the summer. Seriously a must make.  Vodka is not optional.  Strawberry Basil Lemonade. Yup, by Gaby of course.

 GOOD NEWS

Well, the best news is that I am back to work! I am so happy and grateful to to be back with my Loews family as of June 1.

 SOME OF MY FAVORITES

Afternoons on my pool deck watching my husband Marc make dinner; long phone chats with my daughter, Annika,  in Canada; early walks with the dogs, reconnecting with customers that truly are friends and ANY sign that this pandemic may be slowing down; along with a vaccine by the fall. Lots of positive thoughts!

Oh, and that world peace thing, that wouldn’t be bad either…
